As part of the project, the GSS members said that scores of schoolchildren gained access to potable water, safe sanitation, among other amenities. USAID senior advisor Anand Rudra said that clean sanitation was a right and should be accessible for all irrespective of their economic conditions. Senior programme manager of Plan India said there was a 15 per cent increase in the school enrollment among girls in 20 schools where the project was taken up.last_img read more
