The Research Interventionistwill be based on the Fort Peck Reservation in Montana. The mainfocus of this position will be delivery of the 12-componentintergenerational curriculum with pre-Head Start Native American(NA) children (age 3-5 years old) and their parents. This programis based on the “Little Holy One” research project which wasdesigned by Dr. Teresa Brockie, and her co-researchers for thefamilies of the Fort Peck Assiniboine and Sioux tribalcommunities located in Montana.Specific Duties &ResponsibilitiesThis description is a general statement of requiredmajor duties and responsibilities performed on a regular andcontinuous basis. It does not exclude other duties asassigned.Identify and recruit eligibleparticipants for the research studies, ensuring the target numberof participants are enrolledExplain studyobjectives, risks, and benefits with potential participants torecruit participantsAdministerinformed consentImplementintervention and control curriculum delivery on topics of parentingskills, mental health, andcultureBuildrapport with participants, children and caregivers, in the studywith a focus on retention of researchparticipantsMaintaina high level of confidentially and trust with participants andresearch team, must be willing to sign confidentialityagreementManage and track participant referrals toappropriate community resourcesAttendcommunity meetings to represent the project and maintain contactswith community partnersDevelopand implement standard operating procedures related to curriculumdevelopmentDocument and maintain accurateparticipant information and visit summaries per researchprotocolInformstimeline and protocoldevelopmentAble todescribe the Little Holy One research study and be a positiverepresentative of the study to participants, community members, andstakeholdersProvidesupdates on current progress of the study asrequestedUnderstand randomized control trial withembedded single-case experimental design and the implications ofthe study design for curriculumimplementationMinimum Qualifications(Required)High School Diploma/GED. Bachelor’s degreepreferredTwo (2) years relatedexperienceAdditional education may substitute for requiredexperience, to the extent permitted by theJHUEquivalency Formula:18 graduate degreecredits may substitute for one year of experience. Additionalrelated experience may substitute for the required education on thesame basis.
