The crash was reported to involve at least three vehicles on the northbound carriageway of the D Road A34 Newcastle Road / Peacock Hay Road (Talke Roundabout). Lane one (of two) was blocked, according to INRIX, a traffic data company, and traffic was queuing as a result. The accident involved at least three vehicles, most of them understood to be cars. Police were at the scene of the accident. The accident is believed to have taken place at around 8.30am, with the lanes clearing by shortly before 10am. West Midlands Ambulance Service said they had assessed one woman after being called to the accident by Staffordshire Police. A spokesman said: “We were called to the junction of the A500 and A34 at 8.37am to reports of an RTC involving three vehicles. “One ambulance is in attendance and we are assessing one patient, a woman at the moment.” Traffic England also shows traffic moving slowly in the area.
